This is the very beginning of a song. The first version I'm posting is just a single stereo track. I recorded the left side then the right side I think and did a fairly good job getting them to match up. Later I will post a more complicated version. Here I'm imagining the music that goes with this really hard. I don't know if you can actually hear it when you listen but I can so maybe you can too.

I haven't put up a post for a while and now all of a sudden I've got a few all at once. Well, I'm going to space them out by a day or two I guess. Maybe I'll put up the most finished one now, this is a song with much variation that I've been hearing playing in the back of my mind for the last few months now. Probably I'll record some more versions of this later. But for now here it is the basic idea: Walu Walu Ahh.

So I was painting just now, oil painting, which I love. I was singing this little song while I was stroking the brush up and down the canvas. I was singing "You like it like this, You like it like that" and the brush was stroking the canvas, and I was swaying back and forth, and having a _REALLY_ good time, and I thought I'd share it with all of you. So I recorded this little song.

Now I was painting again and listening to my song, and singing along, stroking my brush up and down the canvas, and I realized, hey, it's a love song! And, it's a little obscene ;) I hope you like it!

This is my song of love to my painting, it's what I sing to tickle a little more life out of the colors or the canvas when they're not being too flexible. Maybe it will make them laugh, lighten up a little, and they'll flow better, happily down, and jollily jel in place there for you to see someday.

It's a painting of a hand. It wasn't supposed to be done right now but I kind of like it and it's just a small test painting to see where a larger painting I already started (self portrait of the artist as a pair of hands) may want to go. I have another couple small test hands I may take in different directions so I'm not even sure this is what I want. So anyway.

I took the picture with my video camera and the colors are way off. But anyway you get the idea. I realize now this painting kind of sucks. Well at least I like the little song I got out of the process and I had a _lot_ of fun. Maybe a little too much fun ;)

Another wonderful bit of mindless self indulgence. I rather like it. I sing stuff like this all the time to entertain myself and I thought I'd share some tonight. I don't usually sing in 7 part (not quite) harmony, but maybe I hear it that way because my imagination adds in the extra parts. So this might be more like what I hear. But a little more out of tune because I'm not so great of a musical mastermind in reality as I am in my imagination. You may get the idea though.
