I sometimes have insomnia and it's these little sounds that won't go away that keep me awake.  Like the sound of blood pumping through my brain.  I put a pillow over my head to keep the sounds out and that works except -- it magnifies the sound of my own head ... DOH!!  Of course the blood is always pumping through the arteries in my head, just millimeters from my cochlea, well it sounds like a heart beat of course or a drum and really loud and it drives me insane!   And I cry.  And I sing to you a tribute, to the blood pounding in my head, driving me insane, as I lie here in my bed.  Red blood.  Red Red Blood. Bright Red Blood.  In My Head.  Red Blood.
